Event status

Events have associated status values to track their lifecycles, and help automatically update job statuses once work is complete, or further callouts are required in order to complete the job. The list below explains the available event status options, and what they’re used for.

Scheduled

This is the default status once an event has been created on the calendar, and the assigned engineer has taken no action against it.

Departed

The engineer has set off to the job site property for the event. For engineers using the app, this will launch their preferred map application to help them navigate to the property. For users with vehicle tracking and triggers configured, this status can be used to send the customer a message to let them know the engineer is on the way, with the ability to track them. You’re able to select this status for events with a current status of scheduled

No access

The engineer reached the property, however was unable to gain entry, so could not complete the required work. You’re able to select this status for events with a current status of departed

On site

The engineer has arrived at the site property for the job, and is working to fix any required issues. You’re able to select this status for events with a current status of departed or off site

Off Site

The engineer assigned to the event has temporarily left the property where the work is being carried out, for example, for their lunch break, or to collect required parts. You’re able to select this status for events with a current status of on site

Complete

The work required for the event was successfully completed. This will automatically update the job status if all scheduled events are completed to idicate that quoting or invoicing for the work is required. You’re able to select this status for events with a current status of on site

Aborted

The event was unable to be completed for some reason. For example, the engineer was off ill, so was unable to attend their events for a date, or the required work was abandoned and more time needs scheduling in future to complete the job. This will automatically update the job status if all scheduled events are completed to idicate that further callouts are required to complete the work. You’re able to select this status for events with any current status
